Play and Creative Arts Therapy

  • Play and Creative Arts Therapy is a form of therapy primarily used for children.

  • It can help your child to understand their feelings and emotions.

  • Play and Creative Arts Therapy allows your child to play out their feelings and problems within a safe space.

  • It aims to improve emotional wellbeing, emotional literacy and have a positive impact on your child’s development.

  • Play and Creative Arts Therapy is used because it is a child’s natural medium of self-expression and is essential for child development.

Our Play Therapy sessions, available for children aged 4 and above, are offered in blocks of 12 sessions held weekly. Through these sessions, your child gains access to a creative 'tool box' to encourage freedom of expression. Play serves as a crucial means for children to process their experiences and emotions without the constraints of vocabulary and cognitive processing. We utilize art materials, clay, role play, sand tray, small world figures, music, games, and directed creative visualizations or therapeutic storytelling to address their emotional needs effectively.
